3. Purposes and legal basis for data processing
In accordance with art. 25 BayStatG and §1 of the Statutes on Municipal Statistics of the City of Erlangen (Statistical Statutes - StatS), the Municipal Statistics of the City of Erlangen collects and stores data for statistical purposes.
All analysis and results are published exclusively in summarized and anonymized form. In particular, all data that would allow conclusions about individual persons are anonymized.

4. Duration of storage
The data is stored until the end of the survey phase and then deleted. An anonymized dataset with no reference to individuals remains in the restricted area of the statistics office for analysis purposes.

5. Rights of data subjects
Every person affected by data processing has the following rights in particular under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
a) The right to obtain information about the personal data stored about them and its processing (Article 15 GDPR).
b) The right to data correction if their data is incorrect or incomplete (Article 16 DS-GVO).
c) The right to erasure of the personal data stored about them, provided that one of the requirements of Article 17 GDPR applies.
In addition to the exceptions listed in Article 17(3) GDPR, the right to erasure of personal data does not exist if erasure is not possible or only possible with disproportionate effort due to the special nature of the storage. In these cases, the restriction of processing according to Article 18 GDPR replaces erasure.
d) The right to restriction of data processing if the data has been processed unlawfully, the data is required for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims of the data subject or, in case of an objection, it has not yet been established whether the interests of the registration authority outweigh those of the data subject (Article 18 (1) (b), (c) and (d) GDPR).
If the accuracy of the personal data is disputed, the right to restriction of processing exists for the duration of the accuracy check.
e) The right to object to certain data processing, provided that there is no overriding public interest in the processing that outweighs the interests of the data subject and there is no legal obligation to process (Article 21 GDPR).
Further information on the right to object under the Federal Registration Act can be found in the information on the registration form.

6. Right to withdraw consent
The transfer of personal data for the purposes of advertising or address trading is only permitted if the data subject has consented (Section 44 (3) sentence 1 BMG in conjunction with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Consent can be withdrawn at any time in accordance with Article 7(3) GDPR from the body to which consent was previously given.

7. Right of complaint
Every data subject has the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority if they believe that their personal data is being processed unlawfully.
The supervisory authority for public bodies is the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection:
